Chris Carlson

Chris Carlson is an experienced social impact advisor who has worked with foundations, corporations, NGOs, and community collaboratives to develop strategies in areas spanning health, economic mobility, civic engagement, and education in the U.S. and internationally with a focus on equity and systems change. Chris has led several place-based and collective impact initiatives and has experience in facilitating community engagement processes and weaving together perspectives from across sectors and stakeholder groups. With corporations, Chris brings his prior business strategy consulting experience to bear in identifying opportunities for companies to apply their full range of assets, including business strategies, in creating social impact.

Chris is a leader in FSG’s collective impact and economic mobility practice areas.

Before FSG

Prior to FSG, Chris was a manager at the Beacon Group, a boutique growth strategy consultancy. At Beacon, Chris led teams conducting research, analysis, and strategy development engagements for clients across the technology, health care, and defense sectors. Before Beacon, Chris worked as a high school teacher and ESL instructor.

On Working at FSG
