Clare Schroder helps foundation and corporate clients drive towards health equity by understanding and shifting systems and working in collaboration with partners and communities. As an associate director at FSG, she helps clients such as Blue Cross of Idaho Foundation for Health, FHI360, and pharmaceutical companies around topics such as the social determinants of health, HIV and AIDS and GBV prevention, gender equity, racial equity, oncology, neurology, and behavioral health. Clare brings a range of expertise to her US and global health clients that includes strategy, evaluation, and business modeling, paired with an ability to listen deeply and co-create with clients.
Clare comes to FSG with five years of consulting and programmatic experience working with leading global and US health organizations in both the public and private sector. She most recently completed an MBA/MPH at University of California – Berkeley with a focus on exploring the intersection of public & private health. In school, she led independent consulting projects that delivered evaluations, business models, and strategies for in the health space for clients such as Samfund, the Seva Foundation, and Lawrence Berkeley National Lab and interned with Genentech. Prior to these experiences, she worked for JSI in global public health implementation consulting with clients such as USAID, UNICEF, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. At JSI she worked on projects in family planning and maternal, neonatal, and child health, and she supported Ebola response efforts. Clare enjoys building equitable partnerships in cross-cultural settings and has spent time working in East Timor, Ethiopia, Georgia, India, Uganda, United States, and South Africa.
