Rishi brings over 17 years of experience across operations, strategy consulting, and global development. He leads FSG's Water Access, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) practice area and co-leads the Inclusive Markets approach area. Based in Mumbai, Rishi focuses on leveraging his experience from the corporate strategy world, using market-based solutions, to drive sustainable social change. He has worked across WASH, health care, agriculture, and clean energy sectors in India. He also directs the firm’s global agenda on WASH, which aims to advance broader thinking and practice in market-based WASH solutions.
Rishi spent nearly seven years at Monitor Group, latterly as an associate partner and a member of the firm’s leadership team in India. There, he worked with clients from FMCG, packaged goods, telecom, and automotive industries. At Monitor Group, Rishi led Monitor Inclusive Market's rural sanitation team since its inception. He has also done work identifying commercial opportunities at the bottom of the pyramid in the agriculture sector.
Previously, Rishi was part of Russell Reynolds Associates, where he led the consumer and not-for-profit practices of the firm in India. Prior to that, he spent over five years with Unilever in various roles across Africa, Asia, and the United States of America.
