Karen Mac

Karen is a communications strategist who has enabled dozens of organizational leaders in finding their authentic voice. With expertise in nonprofit communications and content strategy, she has both worked within purpose-driven organizations and as a strategic communications consultant to nonprofits in the health equity and racial justice spaces. In her role at FSG, Karen equips people across the firm to translate their innovative client work into stories and insights that accelerate social change across sectors.

Before FSG

Prior to joining FSG, Karen was a strategic communications consultant advising nonprofits on thought leadership and communications strategy. From groundbreaking advocacy campaigns to ensuring that dollars flow to organizations devastated by COVID-19, she has worked to tell the stories of people and organizations on the frontlines of social change.

As a consultant, her client portfolio included nonprofits and government agencies such as the Center for Urban and Racial Equity, #Vax4Community campaign, Take Creative Control, Paid Leave for the U.S. (PL+US), and the City of Seattle’s Office of Arts and Culture. Karen has also worked in the international development sector for organizations such as Acumen and Miller Center for Social Entrepreneurship.
