Subhash brings hands-on experience in understanding customer impact and experience. His work spans across low-income housing, financial inclusion, and livelihoods. Subhash is based in Mumbai and is a member of the inclusive markets approach area. His focus is on identifying market-based solutions and ecosystem interventions for housing, livelihoods, and financial inclusion. He is currently exploring the potential of leveraging property rights to improve the lives of slum dwellers in India.
Prior to FSG, Subhash was part of Monitor Inclusive Markets (MIM), a social action unit of Monitor Deloitte. At MIM, Subhash was a core member of a multi-year study on the ‘unintended consequences’ of the low-income housing model on households as they buy, move into, and make a new life in these homes. Subhash has also worked on understanding the impact of needs-based approaches to financial inclusion and evaluated the potential for a skilling solution to help youth gain sustainable employment and reduce attrition of entry-level labor for employers.
Before MIM and completing his Masters programme, Subhash spent six years with Netscribes India and Capgemini Consulting, providing clients in early-stage investing, consulting, and IT with customized research and information solutions.
