Shumeca Pickett has more than 20 years of experience advising public and private sector clients on business strategy and social impact. Shumeca brings a keen focus and commitment to racial equity in her work with corporate and nonprofit clients across a variety of industries including information services, financial services, commercial real estate, public relations, art, media and entertainment, and education. She helps clients clarify barriers to advancing racial equity goals, and develop sustainable strategies to meet and move barriers.
Before FSG
Shumeca came to FSG from Alfred Dewitt Ard, a social impact consultancy that she founded in 2010 to work with a cross-section of people and organizations to help them build and lead anti-racist organizations. She was also the first-ever director of civic partnerships of World Business Chicago, where she led the development of an inclusive economic growth mission and culture. Prior to launching her own firm, she filled leadership roles in diversity, equity, and inclusion, and strategy, team, and business development at JP Morgan Chase and PNC Bank.
