Marcia LoMonaco

Marcia helps FSG to attract, hire, onboard, and retain a diverse and thriving team. She focuses her work on examining and addressing inequities deeply embedded within our society that often limit access and opportunities for individuals from marginalized groups. In partnership with the chief administrative officer and Leadership Team, she sets the firm-wide recruiting strategy to meet the needs of teams across the firm. Over the last several years, Marcia has partnered with others around the firm to bring equity and inclusion principles into our recruiting process via unconscious bias training, equity primes, and diversifying our sourcing strategies. She leads the firm’s onboarding efforts to ensure new hires have the tools, supports, and training they need to do their best work. And, she supports the development and execution of a compensation approach that helps retain top talent while balancing business needs with a focus on pay equity.

Before FSG

Marcia comes to FSG with several years of nonprofit leadership experience including program design and evaluation, staff recruitment and management, and strategic planning. Prior to joining FSG, Marcia was the program manager for the San Francisco chapter of This Way Ahead, a cross-sector partnership between Gap, Inc., Gap Foundation, and local nonprofit organizations. This Way Ahead is a youth employment program that creates opportunities for youth who face barriers to employment and education while at the same time addressing business needs for Gap, Inc. In partnership with staff from Gap Foundation and local Gap and Old Navy stores, Marcia designed and implemented the first four years of This Way Ahead in San Francisco. The program has grown significantly and now operates in many cities across the US. Additionally, Marcia worked with Bay Area Women Against Rape and the Public Policy office for the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
