John joins FSG with experience working in community and youth development, global health, and education. At FSG, John works as part of case teams to help clients articulate their goals within a given framework, and then create and design solutions to social challenges. John has worked on engagements in a variety of topics, including public health, urban resiliency, supply chain logistics, and the circular economy. He is particularly interested in the ways strategy and design can be combined to foster community and create positive externalities.
Prior to joining FSG, John served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Mozambique. There, he worked with a community-based organization to oversee planning and implementation of initiatives to overcome boundaries to HIV/AIDS treatment for people living in rural areas. He also co-created a project to reduce malaria contraction rates by empowering residents to manage a project to install screens on windows of homes. He worked in conjunction with the Ministry of Science and Technology in Mozambique to organize a provincial-wide, secondary school science fair. Additionally, he has tutored students in both America and Mozambique in a wide range of subjects.

On working at FSG
“Working on case teams at FSG offers tremendous opportunity for personal and professional learning and growth. It is a pleasure to work alongside such capable, intelligent, and driven people who also believe in sustainable social change, while having the privilege to interact with clients that engage with us as partners. There aren’t many places like FSG where one is able to grow and learn as much as one does through casework and from colleagues.”
