Hisham Mundol is Chief Advisor in India to the Environmental Defence Fund (EDF), responsible for the organization’s strategy in India. He leads initiatives demonstrating the viability of sustainable livelihoods in agriculture, livestock, and fisheries, while building market-based mechanisms to advance climate progress and catalyse India’s climate tech ecosystem. Prior to EDF, he led Children’s Investment Fund Foundation’s work in India across health, nutrition, adolescence, education, girls’ and women’s rights, child protection, and climate change. Previously, he headed the National Condoms Programme for the National AIDS Control Organization (India) and the Wikimedia Foundation in South-East Asia.
