CEO Greg Hills Bids Farewell

BOSTON—After over 18 years at FSG and more than 4 years in his current role, CEO Greg Hills recently shared with staff and the board that it is time for him to move on from FSG.

“I am incredibly grateful for this amazing career opportunity,” said Hills. “Being part of FSG for nearly two decades has been an enormous source of professional and personal pride. From the day I got my offer, to my first client meeting, to recruiting new folks to join, to standing on stage to represent the ideas and work of our teams, I have always felt part of something much larger than myself. I’m proud of all that we have accomplished together and the impact we have had with clients, partners, and communities. I’ve had a good run. But now it’s time for me to move on and make room for new leadership and fresh energy to shape FSG’s next chapter.”

FSG’s board chair Jane Wales expressed deep appreciation and gratitude for Greg and all that he has contributed to FSG over the years and as CEO.

“As CEO, Greg created inclusive internal decision-making processes and hired brilliant new managing directors, operations leads, and staff to augment an already exceptional team—all of which make our contributions to equitable systems change possible,” said Wales. “Greg was instrumental in advancing important partnerships, including co-founding the Corporate Racial Equity Alliance with PolicyLink and JUST Capital. And after four of the most tumultuous years many of us have faced, Greg helped us build a strong foundation for our future.”

Beginning November 18th, CFO Jennifer Cooperman and managing director of the Shared Value Initiative Bobbi Silten will serve as interim co-CEOs to manage the day-to-day operations of FSG.

“Both Jennifer and Bobbi have deep experience supporting complex organizations with an enterprise-wide view,” said Wales, “and together with senior staff they will continue the critical work of FSG while we prepare for our next chapter.”

FSG will enlist the services of a search firm to guide an inclusive search process for our next CEO.
