Simran Sachdeva

Simran believes at the intersection of entrepreneurship and social impact lies the opportunity to create lasting change. At FSG, Simran has conducted research and analysis to assess market-based sanitation approaches for regions in Kenya. She continues to work in the WaSH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) space to improve access to sanitation services in Uganda.

Before FSG

Simran is an English Literature graduate from Hans Raj College, Delhi University. She has deep-dived in the fin-tech ecosystem and sought opportunities to contribute to the development sector.

Simran has donned multiple hats as an intern to drive product growth from zero to one at Fampay. Under the marketing team at CRED, she worked on GTM initiatives for product launch, IPL advertisements, and a mission-driven fundraiser campaign to deploy 100 million liters of oxygen during the crisis.

Simran started Girl Up Wings, a chapter under Girl Up, United Nations Foundation initiative to work towards gender equality during her time on campus. She led a team of more than 30 volunteers to host gender sensitization workshops, build financial literacy curriculum for women from low-income families, and organize fundraisers. She has provided research and strategic support to nonprofits and business clients as part of the 180 Degrees college consulting club. These experiences have critically shaped her worldview.
