Mayank Kapadia

Mayank joins FSG with experience in development consulting across philanthropic organizations, state governments, and CSR departments of private companies. He aims to facilitate inclusive growth at the confluence of markets, governments, and communities. Mayank is currently working on a program to create a large number of jobs for women by scaling business in industries with the potential to achieve this goal. To this end, he is conducting market research and working with industry players to understand their barriers to scale and pilot interventions to overcome these barriers.

Before FSG

Prior to joining FSG, Mayank worked with the development advisory team of EY. He was involved in designing business and operational strategy for the largest trade union of self-employed women, to help increase the incomes of 2 million artisan members. He also designed the model to measure headline outcomes of a large multi-sectoral country program in Bangladesh, funded by an international development organization.

Mayank graduated with a BSc in Financial Economics from the University of St. Andrews, UK. During this time, he was a team lead with the Playfair Consulting Group, a student-led social enterprise aimed at improving the business environment of the university town. He was also a sub-editor of the St. Andrews Economist, the official publication of the St. Andrews Economics Society.
