Jaagruti Didwania


Jaagruti has experience working in the development space for social programs and for research projects. At FSG, she works within the inclusive markets approach. she is currently working on a project to improve sanitation conditions in Uganda. As a part of the project, she is conducting research and analysis to understand the complex market for sanitation in rural and urban Uganda and help build a national sanitation marketing strategy.

Before FSG

Prior to joining FSG, Jaagruti worked as a research associate at Jameel Abdul Latif Poverty Action Lab South Asia (J-PAL SA) on projects aiming to improve the yield and livelihood of smallholder cotton farmers of Gujarat (India) using field randomized control trials as the key methodology, wherein she dealt with both technical and operational parts of the projects. She has also worked as a research assistant at IIT Kanpur in their department of economic sciences on a project studying occupational mobility in India.

Along with the research experience, Jaagruti also has program planning and implementation experience with Citizens Alliance, a not for profit working pan India on projects like rural development and skill development, as well as with her own initiative to provide free-of-cost summer school to children from the urban slums of Varanasi, her hometown.
