Ashok joins FSG with experience in information technology, teaching, and a background in social entrepreneurship and engineering. At FSG, Ashok works within the Inclusive Markets approach on Program to Improve Private Early Education (PIPE) in urban India. His work includes field research work with the partnered affordable private schools and educational service providers in the city of Hyderabad, India.
Before FSG
Prior to joining FSG, Ashok worked as a fellow at Teach for India (TFI) in Delhi. At TFI, Ashok worked with low-income students with a focus on understanding factors affecting student learning outcomes and as a community mobilizer. Previously, Ashok was a senior system engineer at Infosys Ltd, technology services and consulting in Bengaluru, India. At Infosys, he worked on programing and project development of banking and insurance companies as clients. His research work included study of rural tourism in western Ghats (Sahyadri hills), India with a focus on development and sustainability factors.
