Apurva joins FSG with prior experience in investment banking and law. Before FSG, he helped companies across South Asia raise capital and explore M&A opportunities. He is a firm believer that market-based solutions are essential for sustainable development.
Role at FSG
At FSG, Apurva is working on a program to understand what parameters make sanitation enterprises viable, with a focus on Bihar, India. His broader role is to conduct research and analysis under various programmatic areas within the Inclusive Markets approach.
Prior to joining FSG, Apurva worked in the investment banking team of Deutsche Bank Group in Mumbai and Hong Kong. His focus was on consumer and capital goods sectors, helping clients raise debt & equity capital and explore M&A opportunities. Having long believed that business approaches bring sustainable change to societies, he joined FSG.
Apurva graduated with a honors degree in social sciences and law from National Law School, Bangalore (NLSIU). While on campus, he was an elected representative on the student government. He is most proud of having revived a cultural journal called Quirk, that provided a platform to unheard stories and underrepresented perspectives at his university.
