The Vermont Community Foundation

The Vermont Community Foundation focuses on encouraging philanthropy and working with charitable partners to meet basic human needs and to ensure that Vermont communities are successful and sustainable. It is a statewide foundation and oversees over $128 million in assets.

FSG helped The Vermont Community Foundation to:

  • Better understand the costs it incurs to provide products and services to donors, and through these insights to chart a strategy for both greater impact and enhanced economic sustainability
  • Conduct significant research with donors and community leaders to determine the priorities for the Foundation's role in Vermont, and as a result develop a community leadership approach. Based on FSG’s financial analysis and stakeholder research, FSG helped VCF to develop a new approach to fund base operations (e.g. fund and grant administration) as well as new initiatives
