San Antonio Area Foundation

Since its inception in 1964, the San Antonio Area Foundation has been a partner in philanthropy with a growing network of dedicated individuals, families, businesses, and community groups. Established through a trust created in memoriam to San Antonio business leader and philanthropist Nat Goldsmith, the Area Foundation’s mission is to help donors achieve their charitable goals for the greater benefit of the San Antonio community. It is one of the leading community foundations in Texas.

FSG has helped the San Antonio Area Foundation to:

• Examine their current competitive grantmaking system
• Convene focus groups and interviews with the broader community to gather input to inform the Area Foundation’s use of discretionary funds
• Develop a comprehensive proactive grantmaking strategy to maximize the Area Foundation’s impact in the community
