Rwanda Works

Rwanda Works is a nonprofit organization located in the Bugesera district of Rwanda, the epicenter of the 1994 Rwandan genocide and one of Rwanda’s poorest districts. Rwanda Works envisioned a development model focused on prosperity creation as a solution to poverty rather than more traditional poverty alleviation approaches. Uniquely combining for-profit and not-for-profit investment capital, Rwanda Works has launched, financed, and supported local businesses to create a new Bugesera rural enterprise zone.
