Things to know about our interview approach

• Except for our on-campus recruiting process (e.g., consultants from the MBA Class of 2011) all of our searches are conducted on a rolling basis: we will continue to consider candidates until we have made a decision to hire someone
• We consider the interview process to be a two-way discussion. We expect you to have questions about us too
• As candidates progress through our interview process, we ensure they meet a cross-section of the FSG team so they have an accurate picture of our organization and their future colleagues. Our inclusive, non-hierarchical approach means every interviewer has a voice in the candidate evaluation process
• In addition to the more typical, conversational interview, we will also ask you to try out a case or to complete an exercise related to your desired role. During the final round of interviews for consulting positions, you will also be asked to give a brief presentation based on a prior work or school project (additional details will be provided once you have been advanced to first-round interviews). Recreating some of the actual work for each position is a great way for us to learn how you solve problems and for you to see if you enjoy the work.

Regardless of the opportunity, all interview processes typically start with a phone interview. Additional rounds of interviewing may either take place by telephone, via video conference or in person. We will not review work samples or call references until candidates are in the final stages of consideration.
